Summer is almost over.

I'm excited for the new year, but I'll miss this summer.  It's been a unique sort of summer with lots of firsts.  It was my first summer in Lawrence.  My first time living on my own and all by myself.  My first bout without AC.  Lots of firsts.

I've had an amazing summer, and I can only hope that the school year will be this much fun.

So I realized I have update in a while, but also that I'm not sure what to say.

I'm living in my own appartment now.  It's nice, but I'm ready to live in my own house.  I can't wait for Aug. 1.

I'm working a lot.  Giving tours.  Working at the theatre.  Working for KU Endowment.  It's all fine.

Days of work and nights of play.  I guess that's how it should be in the summer.

So here it is.  May 8th.  Where has this semester gone?

Still to come:

*Three Papers (Script Analysis, Directing, and Directing)

*One Quiz (Voice and Speech)

*One IPA Translation (Voice and Speech)

*A Performance Day (kind of I think) (Voice and Speech)

*One Lighting Project (Lighting Production)

*One Final (Western Civ II)

*Two Performances (The Zoo Story, The Pope and the Witch)

*One Stage Manager Position (The Next Great Thing)

Then on to summer

*Giving KU Ambassador Tours

*Working at the University Theatre

*Filming for Underground Justice

If I can make it through the next two weeks, I'll be great.  That's probably the most said sentence in Lawrence right now.

If I can survive the next month, then I will be fine.

That's what I have to keep telling myself.  In a little over a month:

-I will be done with classes

-I will be finished with the million projects I'm working on right now- all of them I'm enjoying, so at least that's a plus.

-I will be done with the scholarship halls, and will be living on my own.

-I will be working.  Which means I'll have money.  Which will be nice.

I'm excited.  Especially to have my own apartment.

Other exciting things...I've enrolled for next semester.  Honors Western Civ II, Movement I, Shakespeare, Acting for the Camera, and Costume Production.  Sounds like a good schedule to me....and I've signed my lease for next year.  The ad in the paper for the house we leased said it was "cute as a button."  That made us laugh enough to check it out.  And the ad was right.  So we (Cali, Jordy, and I), are living there next year...

Alright, enough for now, I have to go do work.

So, I just thought I'd let everyone know I have a new best friend.

His name is Anthony.

Here's what he looks like:

We chatted today.  Some other people were there.  They listened too.

Okay, so mabye we're not best friends, but I did meet Anthony Rapp today.  You know, Anthony Rapp as in Mark from Rent, Charlie Brown from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and that kid from Adventures in Babysitting.  He spoke, sang, and read some of the excerpts from his new book.  And signed an autograph for me.  Yep.  And this is another reason I love KU.
